I would like to take this moment in time to discuss most of the work on these pages. As you go further down the page and as is reflected in the navigation, the projects get older. To see a bigger image, click on the thumbnails.

Most of the pictures were made with stock photos and a combination of Photoshop and Illustrator. If the image is meant for print, then it's resolution is 300 PPI (pixels per inch). If I used the image in an animation or just to view on the web, then the resolution is between 72 and 100 PPI.

I don't have a lot of experience outside of classwork and the occasional project. I've been working a little on the side for Deadline Printing, a very small printing company, and they've had me do 2 or 3 business cards and some letterheads thus far. I like to do fake cards for my friends though and there are some examples of those on this site.

This is a poster that I did for one of my colleagues in the School of Nursing. She supplied all the content, and I put the poster together in Photoshop. The poster was originally created at 300DPI and at 56x40 inches. The file was then taken to a print shop where they printed out a full size poster. This copy of the image has been scaled down quite a bit to fit on the site. At 15x10.5 and 100 DPI, it is more suitable for a web browser. Though standards call for about 72 DPI and the dimensions should fit on an average screen.

All logos and research belong to IUPUI, the NLN, Clarian Health, Sigma Theta Tau International and affiliates. Sim Man 3G is a product of Laerdal Medical.

I thought I'd try this out. It is a collaboration of the videos I have made using Adobe Premiere, Flash After Effects and 3D Studio Max. Some of these videos are collaboration pieces that I did with classmates while in school. By watching the videos on their home site, Youtube, you will find more information about the individuals involved.

Here is a flyer that I made for a make believe show. None of the bands actually exist to my knowledge, but they are all names that I've used on my Guitar Hero game files.

These are a couple of pictures that I did for the break room at one of my IT jobs... Actually, they're not. The originals have long since disappeared, and I did these recently. They're basically the same but they're made from different pictures.

These are some of the business cards I've done. I've made all of these using a combination of Photoshop and Illustrator. Some of these were just for fun, the others had specifications from a client. The Food Pantry logo below is meant to fit on a letterhead.

Pendulum exercise

This is a "Frame by frame" style animation of a pendulum. This was done with Flash. If you pay attention, you will see that when the pendulum reaches its highest points, it slows down as if it would in reality. This is an effect that you can't get with tweening.

This is a basic "On the twos" animation of a walk cycle.

Frank the Tree

Once opon a time, there was a tree who lived in the woods with all the critters and the other trees. His name was Frank. He had a son named Johnny. One day as Frank was walking through the woods, he looked for Johnny. He looked everywhere, and called out, "Johnny, Johnny. Where are you my son?" He heard no answer.

So Frank continued to search for Johnny. When he finally found him, he was shocked to learn that Johnny had been used as wood for a camp fire. Frank bawled his eyes out at the sight of Johnny's remains.

At that moment, Frank vowed to avenge his son's firey death.

This is the story board I did for the Hamster Planet animation below. This story board was a very basic idea of the things that we wanted to happen. The finished product is much different. It just shows you how much a project can change from beginning to end.
